Here at Crossways Guest House we are just a five minute walk from the local train station that offers the Salisbury Rail Line, a train straight through from Bath to Westbury Town Centre. However if you are travelling by car you will find us five minutes away from Warminster or a thirty minute drive from Salisbury and Bath. Located in the heart of the Wiltshire countryside, on the edge of Salisbury Plain there is lots to see and do in the local area.

Based in Westbury, we are surrounded by glorious countryside making us a delight for walkers and cyclists alike. We are not far from the famous broad vale of the White Horse which you highly recommend you visit during your stay with us. The Westbury White Horse is vastly impressive and one of the most famous landmarks in the area, it's the oldest and largest White Horse in Wiltshire.

Just four miles outside Westbury is Trowbridge Museum, this museum tells you the story of the West Country woollen town that was once know to the people of the town as "Manchester of the West", with a mouse trail, working machinery, interactive exhibits and a children's history hunt this an ideal attraction for visitors of all ages.

Longleat Safari Park is less than seven miles outside of Westbury and is a superb day out for all animal lovers. You will have the chance to feed giraffes by hand, go for a walk with lemurs and drive through the safari park with majestic animals from Asia and Africa just inches away from you. For a relaxing trip down the river you may want to consider The Barbara McLellan, it's a gorgeous wide beam trip boat offering two hour trips up and down the river, passing through the lock and along to Avoncliffe Aqueduct. This is such a picturesque journey that you will definitely find yourself relaxing to the soft sounds of lapping water.
